Wheelchair Dump

On custom wheelchairs, the angle of the wheelchair seat is positioned so that the hips of the participant are lower than the knees. The angle of the seat compared to the ground is known as seat dump. The participant has greater control and stability of their trunk due to the participant’s weight is now positioned against the backrest of the wheelchair.
