Scoot in Sitting

This move is used if participant is too close to the edge of seat and for correcting wheelchair placement.
It works well if team member behind is too short for thorax lift or if the participant is likely to have trunk extensor tone.
Working together with hand placements, the team moves the participant from edge of bed to the middle of the bed.

Two team members, one in front is unweighting backside and pushing through knees, while the team member in back has hands under the ischial tuberosities (ITs) and pulls backwards, to scoot a participant back on a bed while participant is in a sitting position.
